Mountain top university


Prof. Elijah Ayolabi the Vice Chancellor of Mountain Top University, MTU, Ibafo, Ogun State, said the newly established university will be a dynamic center of academic excellence for the production of top-rate morally sound graduates of distinction who will be globally competitive for outstanding impact on local and global development.


He said: "150 of the 270 students who passed the post-UTME have registered. Though admission is open to people from different religions, but they would have to abide by our rules and regulations. Though there would be no stipulated dress code, but the student would have to dress responsibly to conform to the image of God."


"Each student will be provided with a mobile learning device on gratis with 24 hour access to our e-library resources and the laboratories and lecture rooms are equipped with digital learning facilities. Tuition for Art students isN450,000 while Science students would pay N570,000 and this covers hostel accommodation, medical and mobile device."


In line with NUC approval, academic activities would commence for 2015/16 session with College of Basic and Applied Sciences and College of Humanities, Management and Social Sciences.

Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti has appointed a new Vice Chancellor in
person of Professor Samuel Oye Bandele. His appointment was approved by
State Governor, Ayodele Fayose.

Out of the three candidates who were interviewed for the job, Professor
Samuel Bandele was the best overall. His appointment takes effect from December
2, 2015, as the tenure of the outgoing Vice-Chancellor Professor Oladipo
Aina expires on December 1.

While congratulating him for his new appointment, Governor Fayose urged him
to improve on the good work of the outgoing VC and take the university to a
greater height.

Governor Fayose commended the outgoing Vice-Chancellor Aina for his
contributions towards the growth of the university and prayed that God
should be with him in his new endeavours after leaving office.
