Four teenage boys have been charged with murdering a man. The man was assaulted at Stratford Station in London at rush hour on Tuesday. 53 year old John Francis Breen, from London, died on Wednesday afternoon. He was found unconscious with head injuries. 



The teenagers from Ilford were arrested on Tuesday. Two of the boys aged 14, one aged 15 and a fourth aged 16 are due to appear before Stratford Youth Court.

19-yr-old Nigerian Emerges Councillor in UK

Aisha Eniola, a 19-year-old final year Nigerian student, was recently elected as the Councillor of Brent Council in London, UK.

Aisha who is currently a final year student of Mass Communication in one of the London universities, represented the Labour Party.

She polled a total of 2,160 votes, defeating Simon Erskine, of the Green Party, who received a total of 459 votes and Paul Fowler, of the Liberal Democrat, who polled 313 votes.

She exhibited astounding brilliance during the debates preceding the election, and this warmed her into the hearts of the voters.

She is currently the youngest Councillor in Brent council, and according to her, she hopes to inspire youths to participate in politics.

Diezani may not appear in Court

Former Petroleum Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke who was arrested in London and was supposed to appear in court today might not be in attendance.
This was revealed by a source within the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

Following the arrest and release on-bail of ex-minister for Petroleum resouces, Diezani Allison-Madueke, and four other unidentified person by the National Crime Agency (NCA) in the United Kingdom, the five are set to appear in court on Monday on several allegations which include bribery, corruption and money laundering.

Diezani Alison-Madueke Arrested

Diezani Alison-Madueke, the former Minister of Petroleum Resources, was arrested in London on Friday.

She was arrested alongside four other people by the British law enforcement agency, although the identities of the four other people could not be immediately ascertained.

The arrest was confirmed by the British High Commission in Nigeria though the identities of those involved was not disclosed.

The Press and Public Affairs Officer, Joseph Abuku, in a statement said, “This morning, five people between the ages of 21 and 60 were arrested on suspicion of bribery and corruption offences. The crimes are being investigated by the National Crime Agency.

“The National Crime Agency does not confirm identity at arrest nor provide information that could be used to corroborate the identity of an arrested individual.”
